Katherine was my PhD supervisor. I consider myself immensely fortunate for having had the privilege of working with her and learning from her. Many people have written eloquently about the kindness and intelligence that Katherine embodied. I can’t think of a better combination of qualities in a person who is supposed to guide someone’s academic research. Katherine genuinely cared about her students. She remained invested in my research even during her leave of absence, always providing valuable inputs and encouragement.

I am a lawyer by training. Katherine was my gateway to philosophy and the world of philosophers. I have learnt from her the value of being a kind professional. I have learnt from her the ability to read someone’s arguments in the best possible light without losing the critical focus. Most importantly, I have learnt from her the value of being a good human being. Thank you, Katherine. I will try and pay forward the kindness and support that I have received from you.
